In 1976 Michael Garman returned to Brighton and opened IL Bistroafter being inspired by the Italian and French culture and cuisineduring his travels to the Provence and the western coast of Italy.His goal was to open Brighton’s first Mediterranean steakhouse.For the first time, Brightonians were able to order fresh pasta,arancini, dry aged beef, tiramisu and negronis.47 years later and now being operated by Michael's son Abe,IL Bistro still stands by the same principles, using local suppliersand produce, fresh ingredients and the best available dryaged British beef. Great experience eating at Food for Friends. Lovely staff and the food was great. I enjoyed my started and dessert the most. The pineapple tart Tatin and the sticky toffee pudding is a must try!

Visited for the first time the Worcester Park restaurant. We booked an early table but the restaurant soon filled up and it was a Wednesday evening so not a peak day. The waiter was really helpful as we weren't sure on the food choiced. We chose a sharing platter starter which was so delicious and cooked beautifully. We then chose a mutton curry and a prawn curry with basmati rice and a roti. Everything was delicious and cooked beautifully. The roti was buttery and flaky and there was just the right amount of food. My other half had a pudding traditional set custard with jaggery which was also very nice, i chose a lychee sangria which was heaven. Really recommend this restaurant the service was great but the food was outstanding and we will definitely make this a regular haunt.
