Golden Steer is a Vegas legend and rightly so! We booked a reservation 7 months ago and could not wait until tonight. We asked for a booth and got to sit in Joe Dimaggios booth! It was so cool! Everything was exceptional.

Well, after driving from Bellflower Ca for all the hype and IG posting I must say the service was good. The Caesar salad is really good. Now let's talk about the actual food. We had the Rib Eye and Lobster with loaded baked potato and creamy spinach. The Lobster was a little overcooked and chewy. They're supposed to be known for the steaks, well that was very disappointing. We asked for medium well done and got very well done, which was returned, and had to wait another 5/8 mins not good for a steak restaurant, your chefs should know how to cook different steaks to perfection settings. Medium well is 4/5 mins on each side. Would I come back probably for the salad, not the steak? I give them a 1 1/2 stars.

I’m still in disbelief that somehow I secured a reservation from a random cancellation via OpenTable. I simply chose some dates that if I were able to get reservations, I could actually fly to Vegas 🎰 Tip: surprisingly, reservation cancellations do come up, but you have to have notifications set on OpenTable app because these are grabbed in a split second. I had 8:45pm reservations. I got there at 8pm but had to wait for my friend who lives in Vegas. They held my booth, and my request for Frank Sinatra’s old table. It was so cool, honestly, that if the food sucked, I was still okay with it. We decided to split an 8oz filet and then get their chicken artichoke dish to also split. We got a side of sherry-cream mushrooms, too. All was fantastic!! Actually better than fantastic. The steak seasoning was so good I bought tins to bring home to my daughter-in-laws. Started with escargot. My friend had never had the little snails. Only 6 come on the plate, so keep that in mind. Delicious, but only 6. Not rubbery, but cooked to a tender and flavorful creation. The filet was exceptional! Maybe the best I've ever had. Salted & seasoned to perfection and cooked precisely as ordered. Incredible! The chicken meal was creatively delicious. I don't know how they made this chicken so lite, juicy and tender, but they did! It came with deep-fried raviolis. I did not try them but my friend devoured the 6 or so on the plate. Overall, this exceeded all of my expectations! My friend took leftovers to her hubby. The ambiance was the charm of the “Olden Golden Days.” The exterior looks deceiving and that area seems a bit sketchy. We actually left around 11:30p. They had closed but still had many diners, so they don't rush you out. The service was top-notch, so thank you to our server James. And a huge merci beaucoup to the entire team. My 1/2 of the bill (including the two tins of seasoning at $16 each) was $120. (excluded tip). So worth every penny! Can't wait to return!

Incredible and unforgettable experience. This place had been on my radar during every visit to LV and we’re happy that we finally made it! It was not just about the food (which was incredible), but it was the ambience. This place has been there since the late 50s and has catered to some of the most legendary celebrities. If those walls could talk… The food, made the same way since it opened. My wife and I enjoyed the seafood tower along with our steaks. That jumbo lobster tail is no joke. When paired with the Shorthorn (medium rare) both just melted in your mouth. You must have the Caesar salad made at the table side! We are looking forward to our second visit. Hopefully, we can make room for the bananas foster the next time around. Thank you Carlos, Bruce (and team) and Michael for the wonderful experience! V/r, F

Service was great and staff very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. My shrimp in the shrimp cocktail was very tough. Same with my lobster my steak was cooked perfectly but the seafood in my opinion was overcooked.

Very welcoming. Large number of staff that worked well as a team. Food was delicious. We had the Longhorn steak and lobster for two.

We truly enjoyed the Golden Steer! The ambiance upon entering was beautiful and our table under John Wayne's picture took us back to days of old. Our server, Ramon was wonderful, and so knowledgeable with excellent recommendations! We had the 24oz ribeye to share, baked potato and creamed spinach.....all were superb! The Caesar salad looked great, prepared at the table. We will definitely be adding the salad during our next visit!! Thank you to all staff at the Golden Steer in making our 34th Anniversary exceptional!!

When you order a $95 steak, the expectation is it will bd cooked correctly. This steak was cooked to long. It was not pink, it was evenly brown all the way through. And tough. Very disappointing.

The atmosphere, service and food were great. Nothing to complain about there. The prices however were over the top. The prices felt like a robbery, as if this was a Michelin restaurant
