信頼できる飼育場から仕入れた地域志向の食材バンクーバーのイエールタウン地区に位置するHomer St Cafe and Barは、バンクーバーの象徴的な建物2棟（歴史的なホーマービル、新築のビーズリービル）を利用したモダンなレストランです。真っ赤になるまで熱した回転式串焼き器を使って、伝統的な家庭料理を中心とした食べ物を用意しています。人気料理は肉汁のかかった一般的な付け合わせを添えた鶏肉（4分の1、半分、または丸ごと）で、風変わりなワインとカクテルも楽しめます。レストランは、料理の様子を間近で見られるオープンキッチン「シェフズ・バー」とアンティークのタイルが張られた個室（工場で使われていた窓をリメイクしたもの、特注の椅子あり）で構成されています。

we were seated a the bar but this bar should not be considered a place to seat guests-it's way to loud with the activity of the kitchen which is usually fine but too small a space so ambience was completely lacking compared to the last time I was there when we had a table on the other side We were there for a birthday brunch and did not feel like any effort was made to make it a special experience even though it was asked if we were there for a special occasion unfortunately not a great experience, food was good but didn't override the rest.

This is a memorable first date experience. Also I mischievously smiled when I heard my date say, “I will have what they are having” as he glanced over at the table beside us. The Full Monty Rotisserie was sumptuous, mouth-watering and leftovers, yum! Our server was helpful, kind and friendly. I am grateful that Homer Street Cafe has been consistently excellent each time I have been. Plus created a fantastic impression for my date’s first time.

The manager and wait staff were incredibly kind. It was my birthday and my friend was unable to join me last minute. The manager gave me the royal treatment and all staff on the floor wished me a happy birthday. I won’t forget it any time soon. Thank you, all.
