   It was our 40th anniversary and having celebrated previous anniversaries at Hy’s, we wanted to celebrate our anniversary again with our family. It was a great night; everyone who’s employed at Hy’s are so friendly, accommodating, and make you feel so special. Thank you, again for a wonderful evening.

   We had a group of 4 and I would say that we had a very enjoyable experience from start to finish. The appetizers were excellent. We shared cheese toast, crab cake, scallops and ahi tuna. The Caesar salad was good and was just the right amount for 3 people to share. Everyone seemed to enjoy their main course. I had the steak Diane which is prepared tableside. It was done to perfection. My husband had the Neptune steak but he felt the portion of actual steak was small. The crème brûlée was lovely. Service was exceptional. Price is high but it’s a great place for very special occasions.

   We went to Hys for our 30th wedding anniversary. It was acknowledged. The food was absolutely delicious. Definitely a place to go for a special occasion. Service was excellent. Thank you to Andrew our server.

   My husband and I recently were married and two of our friends were treating us to what we expected would be a wonderful dinner at Hy's. Given their reputation, we thought Hy's would provide good value for money in this challenging economy. The reservations were made well in advance for an early evening timeslot (4:30 pm). When we arrived, we were shown to our table which was in the middle of the thoroughfare. Most tables around us were empty, however they became occupied within an hour and it was loud and we felt crowded. Our waiter congratulated us on our recent nuptials and said we would receive complimentary champagne (nice). He proceeded to pour us each a very small glass from a very small bottle and said more was coming. Well, more didn't come, but that was okay as it was still a nice gesture. The biggest issue was the food - one meal in particular. My husband ordered the steak and lobster ($106.95). He asked for a filet mignon steak and what he received looked like a striploin. I have never seen a filet that is half an inch thick. Not only that, but the lobster was undercooked by a few minutes. My husband is not a complainer, so he said nothing at the time. He said the steak was tasty, but the overall meal was not worth the cost. The rest of the meals were good, but not over the top good. The wine list is extremely overpriced along with the cocktails. I don't know what the cost of the entire bill was, but it must have been in excess of $400 with the tip. I truly expected more from this restaurant and I highly doubt we will ever go back. I wasn't going to write a review, but some friends of mine suggested that I should.
