   We thought this restaurant would be more low key but it was very loud for a Wednesday evening. They give you a time frame to leave the table in 2hours. No music can be heard due to how loud it was full of people. Server was great though. No recommendations from him though. I put on the reservation it was a birthday but hostess did not relay that to the server. Food was great. Order the short ribs! but portions are small. Margaritas are good, the best was the Guayaba Margarita. We will not be going back mostly due to how loud it was and it seemed to us like we were being rushed out.

   First time here. First time at a “high end” Mexican restaurant. Service was great. Efficient but not rushed. Server made great suggestions for both food and drinks. Highly recommended. ( would have preferred more appropriate music).

   While the food and service are great, their cocktails aren’t as good as they used to be. Also the noise level is way too loud. You can’t even hear the person across the table from you. Wish they could figure that out. But food and service are still outstanding.

    We are huge fans of Javier’s. Their guava margarita is my second favorite drink of all time. The atmosphere is always lively and interesting. The vibe is modern and upbeat. The music is always loud enough and rhythmically hypnotic enough to get your feet moving and your head bobbing. It’s a great place to have elevated Mexican food. The food could by hotter and sometimes it’s a bit salty. However, Javier’s is our go to. We come at least twice a month—amazing. We come the Vegas one and Century City. If they put one in DTLA, and I would come weekly if not daily!
