I recently dined at Killen’s Steakhouse in Pearland and overall had a great experience. The service was warm and attentive, and most of the food was excellent — from the appetizers to the sides, everything was well-prepared and flavorful. The only real food critique would be the steak itself. While cooked to the right temperature, it lacked the bold flavor I was expecting from a steakhouse of this caliber. As for the service, while our server was wonderful throughout the night, I was a bit disappointed by how the birthday celebration was handled. I made sure to note it on the reservation, and when it wasn't acknowledged during our visit, I asked the hostess if they had seen the note. She confirmed they had, but then came to our table and informed the server right in front of us by saying, “they’re celebrating a birthday.” This could have been handled more discreetly and professionally — it took away from what was supposed to be a special moment. Despite that hiccup, the ambiance and overall experience were enjoyable. I’d return, but I hope future special occasions are handled with a bit more care.

It was a great experience! I had the filet mignon flight that was amazing and our waiter Randy paired it with a wonderful petite Syrah. The Mac and cheese was on point as were the potatoes with an egg.

We enjoyed our server Christopher. He is kind and efficient and not a lot of yappy, yappy. We also enjoyed the new host, he’s Asian. Very polished, very well-spoken. We always love the sweet African American, hostess, too. Unfortunately, I have a degree in management and hospitality so, I NOTICE too much! I believe the food runners and the bus persons look discombobulated. They should smile more and not say things like, “No problem,” “It’s not a problem.” I’ve worked in every part of a restaurant AND luxury hotel. (Yes, I was even a dishwasher). Those small little “tasks” that these employees carry out, are vital to the experience. I wish Ronny or whomever, could take or show them a video of how seamless other restaurants carry this out.

First time here and we absolutely loved it. Food was delicious and service made us feel like the focus of the experience. We will definitely be back. Finally found a great spot without having to drive to downtown Houston!

Jacob never ceases to amaze me with his ability to display a specific level of consistency and care when hosting clients. This is why I actually can admit having a preference when patronizing this establishment. My group was thoroughly impressed with Jacob, and one newbie to Killen's is excited to bring his wife. Thank you to the Killen's staff for an amazing evening.

Killeen's is extremely overpriced for the quality of the food. Got the $105 dry age ribeye while my wife got the $75 Beef Wellington. Neither were exceptional and certainly no better than many less expensive steak houses. Service was ok, but again, not exceptional. Our table of four ordered 3 appetizers, one of which was not delivered until our first two had been eaten. An example of "Just because a restaurant is expensive doesn't mean it's better than a less expensive one". Won't be going back.
