サンラフェルの中心部、フランク・ロイド・ライトがデザインを手掛けた有名なマリン郡シビックセンターの向かいにあり、国道101号線からすぐのロケーションです。La Toscanaは、マリン郡に位置する家族経営のイタリア料理店＆バーです。イタリアのルッカ育ちで、1950年代後半にアメリカへ移住したパオロ・モリ、彼の妻マリリン、ミケーレ・クイリチは、故郷を思わせる空間、すなわち地元住民が食べに集まる場所、友人や家族に会う場所、イタリアの家族と同じように食べ物やワインでお祝いができる場所を作るべく、1985年にこの店をオープンしました。1986年にシェフ＆共同経営者のジョバンニ・ラッカネーロ、1992年にパオロとマリリンの娘ラウラ・モリ・リエラ、2002年に最年少の息子マイケル・モリがLa Toscanaのチームに加わりました。パオロは大のもてなし好きで、いかにもモリ家の人間らしく、食べ物やワインを楽しみ、また他人がそうする姿を見るのが好きでした。これはLa Toscanaで引き継がれている誇り高き伝統です。

We really enjoyed the restaurant. We were greated and seated right way. The warm and slightly special atmosphere comes from the wood finishes, photo mural and fireplace in the dining room. The food was perfectly prepared, with the exception of the risotto which wasn't quite hot enough. The Frito Misto was perfectly crisp on the outside and moist and sweet on the inside for every bite. The steak was delicious and cooked to perfection as requested. We'll be back!

We had a lovely lunch today. We started with the meatballs (they were out of arancini). Delicious. As was the warm bread. Then we split cacio de Pepe. It was tasty but maybe a bit too creamy. Secondi, I asked if they could make veal parmigiana (it’s not on the menu, but chicken parm is). Our waiter said sure making me quite happy. My friend had the eggplant parmigiana. Both were absolutely outstanding. We had a bottle of Paolo Sordo Barolo which punctuated everything perfectly! Fabulous food and service!!!

Lovely atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming service. Great value. I look forward to returning. Wine Wednesday is a great deal.

From the moment we entered the restaurant and greeted by the very nice young lady to the waite staff it was a wonderful experience, as ALWAYS. I’ve been coming here for 20 plus years and never have had a bad meal. Today I had calamari steak that was perfectly cooked with potatoes and green vegetable. Yum!!! Our waiters made sure our glasses were filled with water and Diet Cokes for my buddies. I’ll be coming back again. Interestingly, my two friends have returned here on other occasions with their families since I introduced them to La Toscana.

You'll feel at home here if you grew up in a large, happy family who ate good food together and had someone make sure everyone was served and fed.

Always the best food, the best service, the nicest people and so authentic with their Italian dishes. The petrale sole Dore and soft polenta really the best ever!

This restaurant is consistently good - service, food quality, portions. Can be a bit loud in the main dining room if there are large parties.
