   Consistently good food and good service. There is a lot of competition for Italian restaurants in the Kennett Square area. La Verona stands out for its reasonable priced drinks and food. Sitting in the bar area while a lot louder, it is a better ambiance. Lobster Ravioli special is excellent, Calamari is very good, not your typical frozen then deep fried fare served at most restaurants. Specialty drinks are done well by experienced bartenders.

   This was our first time at this restaurant and the food was very good! We had a party of 17 and everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was also great! Our food came out quite fast which was a plus!

   This restaurant never disappoints. The servers are all so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They encourage you to make changes to any menu item since everything is homemade and easily adaptable. We ended up taking so much food home with us that it looked like we ordered take out. If you like tiramisu... theirs is excellent.

   Waited a while to be seated after having a reservation. Ordered an appitizer and never got the appitizer. Waited over an hour for our food.

   Delicious food and wonderful service. It was Valentine's Day so the noise level was extremely loud and decreased the ambiance. Still, I'd happily return for an enjoyable meal. Just maybe not when it's so busy.

    First things first. The food at La Verona is really good, and the portions (at least for chicken parm and chicken marsala) were very generous -- my wife and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. If you like mushrooms, the soup is for you. It's very mushroom-forward and not tempered by lots of cream or other flavors. We visited for Valentine's Day, which I do not recommend. We felt very rushed. With drinks, starter, entrees and even dessert, we were in and out within an hour. Bread was at the table before we ordered; our soup arrived before our drinks; and the check was deposited with our dessert. But, the service was very friendly. The dining room was a surprise because it lacked any warmth (we were at a table in the bar area the last few times we dined here, which felt more welcoming). The tables looked like they came from a diner, and the lighting was oddly bright. We would definitely go back for the food. But maybe we should try takeout next time.
