In the mountains of North Georgia the Lake Rabun Hotel & Restaurant has been welcoming guests since 1922. Restored in 2008, the hotel and restaurant offer the best of rustic elegance. From the antique heart pine walls to the locust beams on our deck, expect unique, local craftsmanship. The decor is rich with period antiques, hand-woven rugs, and local artwork. It features a creatively prepared and presented Contemporary American menu with a Southern twist in the farm to table tradition. Fresh produce locally grown is hand selected and prepared by our Chef de Cuisine, whose entrees respect the natural flavors of high quality, humanely raised and locally harvested food.     Olivia and the cooks did a superb let a wonderful Valentine experience. My husband had fish/grits/sautéd spinach and I had the trout/braised Brussel sprouts. Both dishes tasted excellent! Our waitress Olivia was very knowledgeable with presenting the specials for the evening and her customer service skills were above average! We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great meal for any occasion!

    Overall our experience was great. We were celebrating my wifes birthday and Valentines day! The crab and shrimp dip was awesome. We had the jalapeño mac in cheese and the resoto to share. All the portions where very large. We both order steaks. A ribeye and a filet. When they came out they were both cold. The waiter reacted perfectly. She took them back and had us new staeks out very quickly that were hot and cooked to perfection. The night was still perfect. Things can happen its life. No hard feelings and would recommend everyone to give this place a try. 5 stars in my book. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

    Fabulous atmosphere and ambience! Servers are well trained. Good was out quick (maybe too quick but hey). Good drinks. Wish we had had room for dessert as it was Valentine's Day eve!

    Always a great place to enjoy a great meal. We had a lovely dinner, I had the pecan crusted trout - delicious (wasn’t fond do the butternut/ricotta whip but that may just be me). Wife had the pan roasted pork tenderloin, great, too much to eat. Crème Brûlée desert great, coffee barely warm. Good wine selection, good bar, overall a wonderful experience.
