Mister Coppin is a café in thriving Richmond. The name originates from George Seth Coppin who was a comic actor, entrepreneur, and politician, who was born in Sussex, England, and moved to Australia in search of other opportunities.He made his reputation in Australia as an actor, however, he was also a comedian. In his later years, he began to take an interest in public affairs, where he became a councilor in the Richmond municipality. Today, Mister Coppin’s heritage lives on in the naming of Coppin Street, Richmond as well as this café.

Dear Richmond,This little restaurant is pour love letter to food. It's our happy little place, where we get to live the the joy of feeding people everyday. We all grew up in spaces that equated food with love, just like this place. Everything we have done here is deliberate, from the art on the walls to the produce we use. We've made a point of sourcing ingredients from some of the best suppliers in the state, making sure that our menu reflects what's in season. For us, this place is about experience: we try our best to make you feel both at home and 'out for something special'.
