We really enjoyed the atmosphere while we were there. The fireplace ambience instead of sports or news was so great! The food was good. My husband really liked the chicken parmesan while the lamb I got was only so so:( We shared the sticky date cake and loved that! Overall, it was a great experience. We will be going back to try the other awesome menu items.

I was hesitant to make a reservation here due to the negative reviews below but I was blown away with how wrong all the reviews really were about this place. It was the first time my husband and I have been there and I can attest that we will be visiting again and again! The food was delicious! The service was amazing. Our server was named Brooke and she was on top of our drinks and our food all came out at a timely matter! We had a great time! Thank you for hosting us for our valentine date! Will definitely recommend to friends!

We love coming to Matteo’s. We were finally able to visit their new location in downtown Salt Lake City and it is beautiful. It’s bigger than their first location but still has all the charm and familiarity. I am really touched by their ability to make you feel like a special guest. I love seeing familiar faces and the fact that they remember you is really heart warming and something a lot of restaurants don’t prioritize as part of the dining experience. The food was outstanding, as usual. We love getting the steak special whenever it is available. It really is one of the best steaks in Utah (and I’ve been to just about every steakhouse here). Of course though, the pasta is always delicious and their desserts are usually something I never pass on.

We love Ruth Chris. It has become our birthday celebration restaurant. We were celebrating my husband's birthday last night. They always comp a birthday dessert, and the banana cream pie is Amazing, but all the food is Amazing. The tuna appetizer is our favorite. Filet is always cooked perfectly and do not forget the cremini mushrooms....sooo good. Our daughter loves the mashed potatoes and my husband loves the lobster bisque. It is ALL delicious. And we LOVE Fraser. He is the best server. We ask to sit in his section every time we go there. So friendly, great recommendations, and always takes care of us...attentive to anything we might need. He makes the dining experience outstanding.

My son and I enjoyed a good meal and had a great time. We signed up for the waiting list ahead of time and were seated right after we checked in. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the kalamari and 3 cheese lobster dip appetizers. The dip was our favorite and loved the homemade chips. He loved his crab and steak. I liked the roasted flounder but it could have had more flavor. My broccoli and mashed potatoes were very good and I loved the brownie and biscuits. It's a bit pricy but service and food are good. It was also nice that we were given a bagful more of fresh biscuits when we were leaving. We will be back and I'll try a different fish.
