We had a very pleasant experience at Franny’s. The food was cooked to perfection. The ambience was exactly what we were looking for - very cozy. Staff was attentive and polite. We will absolutely be back next time we’re in Camden!

Food , service, and-atmosphere was outstanding plus wine & bourbon selection was top notch!

Siting at the cozy bar, I enjoyed a nice French red to accompany a wonderful beet salad, with a bright Meyer lemon note & then continued w/the house made (so flavorful!) venison sausage. I also indulged in their financier for dessert w/home-made ice cream. A lovely meal w/excellent & friendly service.

The Reading Room is classic white linen high class dining at its best!! Menu, food, service & ambience all first rate! Our server was very professional (can’t recall her name) & very menu knowledgeable - only issue was that the noise level made it difficult to have a good conversation! We’ve been there many times over the years & it is always the highlight of our visits to Bar Harbor!!

It took a month to get in and it was worth it. I had frequented the pond house when I was young (35 yrs ago) and I had been wanting to get back. It was as good as I remember. Staff got us in earlier than our reservation time, waitstaff were friendly and welcoming and the popovers and jam are the best I’ve had! Definitely worth the visit/experience.
