Stunning meal - compact menu so you know it’s all going to be fabulous and it was! Beautiful service too. Thank you for a very lovely lunch. Wine list superb too! Couldn’t fault it. Open kitchen and great ambience.

As always a nice atmosphere whether it be an evening meal or breakfast. Staff were polite, attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is reasonably priced and freshly cooked with a good choice of a continental on top.

We planned a weekend break in Dolgellau and Y Sospan was booked two weeks before the trip. We last ate there in September 2023 so being keen to visit again is a strong recommendation. We both wanted the lamb shank and it was outstanding in quality and quantity. It's a really interesting building, the service was excellent, the whole experience just what we hoped for. We did, in fact, return for lunch, without booking, on Saturday as we were keen to give the Cafe Menu a try. It'll be on our wish list anytime we are in North Wales and want a decent meal.
