We go to this place once every year at Christmas time to celebrate a birthday. I believe this is the 3rd or 4th year of us going back. It is a great spot — really good food and ambience. The service was incredible — we were assisted by Jack and his service, attention to detail, demeanour, positive vibes, etc etc was unbelievably good. It was such a pleasure all evening. When he realized we were celebrating a birthday he offered a Molton chocolate cake dessert on the house even though we had paid the bill, we asked for a cocktail recipe and he hand wrote it for us. It was little gestures like this that make it memorable. It made a really good dinner to be great and for that we are very appreciative.

Wow, just wow - the food is outstanding. We had 4 in our party and everyone got steak - rib-eye, NY, and filet (2). They were all cooked perfectly and the portions are large. We had sides of smashed potatoes and mushrooms - both were outstanding. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it. John, our server, was great. He was perfectly attentive and time everything very well. The salad that comes with the dinner is underwhelming - I like my salad lightly dressed however it tasted like there was no dressing at all. That could definitely be better. If I would change one thing, it would be the seating. The tables along the back are high tables with chairs and a bench. Unless you are very tall, the table is high so you feel your face is too close to the table and the seating just isn't very comfortable. I hope to sit in a booth sometime which looks much more comfortable. Overall we will definitely be back to enjoy the amazing food and highly recommend Black Cow!

Service good however very disappointed with meals this time compared to other meals here. The Berkshire Pork chop was thin and lots of gristle and roasted squash was cold.

Delicious seafood in a fun atmosphere. Gets quieter once happy hour ends.

We celebrated our anniversary dinner here as a recommendation from my friend at work. The place was beautiful especially this time of year. Our server is Simon & he was outstanding. We were provided with a complimentary toast in addition to their small bites of appetizer & bread with butter. We ordered additional cocktails which were both refreshing. The Texas short ribs were delicious. I had the chicken cordon blue & my significant other had the lamb rack. Both taste really good.Finally we had the fudge brownie with peppermint ice cream which I think was really festive. They gave us ginger bread cookies which is a really nice touch of the restaurant. Our overall dinner experience was great.
