we always come here from san jose for special occasions and can always count on an excellent meal and wonderful service. Jenevive our server was so personable as was our hostess. Can’t wait to try the weekend brunch!

Two of us split the Beach House Salad which is a favorite of ours. Salmon dish was delicious and food came out to the table at a decent pace. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Even though I have watched the duck confit increase in price from $22 to $35 today over the last decade or so, it is still worth it. As is the banana ice cream maple bourbon bread pudding desert.

This was an enjoyable meal. The menu is extensive. My wife and I had sole piccata and Hawaiian bowl, and both were both excellent. Two small complaints: (1) I ordered a glass of wine at the same time as I ordered my entree, but the wine did not arrive until several minutes after my entree plate. (2) The seasonal vegetables were served lukewarm, not hot enough. Nevertheless, I would recommend Fishwife for a pleasant, tasty and (mostly) well-prepared meal.

Everything about our dining experience was positively memorable. Food and service were outstanding. The best meal we've had during our trip to Monterey. I'd like to get the chef's salmon recipe...best ever.
