The first floor offering an array of ambient possibilities; catering to all types of gatherings, both large and small.NOTES: Booking “Bar” is a seat on the 1st floor or 3rd bar*, there are no tables.Booking “Counter” is an outdoor seat at our chair rail on our rooftop.*Booking “Outdoors” is a table on our rooftop.**Guests must be able to walk up multiple flights of stairs. This outdoor seating experience is not undercover. Jordan Pond House, a restaurant and shop with a long tradition within Acadia National Park, sits on a hill overlooking a beautiful lawn along the Jordan Pond. Guests have been enjoying these amazing views and dining at this site since 1893 when Nellie McIntire, the first proprietor, started baking and serving her famous popovers out of the restaurant. Ever since then, we have been serving popovers and tea.Please note: Reservations may be made for inside dining only. Due to weather variability, we are unable to accommodate reservations for the lawn. The restaurant was amazing. The ambiance was perfect for nice date night. The service was amazing. The added features on the 2nd and 3rd floor of games is fun. The food was very good. We started with calamari which was good then I had the steak and my husband had the lobster seafood sausage stew. I think the steak was good but the calamari and the stew were excellent.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Kanu, to celebrate a good friend’s birthday, and it was an excellent experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting with an upscale decor. The food was beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's exceptional skill and attention to detail, and most importantly- delicious! The service was prompt and courteous taking care to address any questions and making us feel valued as guests. I would like to give special recognition to the chef who provided service that went above and beyond. Based on my notes when making the reservation, he took the time to research the sourcing of certain food to ensure specific dietary needs were considered. It's rare to find such a commitment to guest satisfaction and it truly elevated our dining experience. We are already looking forward to a return visit!
