The menu follows a Southern-fried meat-and-three concept, meaning diners order a meat, plus three sides. Those will include Ruthie’s mac and cheese, of course, but also white-soy-braised greens, stewed chickpeas and smoked cauliflower with a spicy soy glaze. “We’re going to be changing it a lot based on seasonality,” Hill says of the menu. “ Every vegetable has got to be fantastic because it has to stand on its own.” One thing that will help that: Hill is already growing all of the restaurant’s own herbs at his South Arlington community garden plot.

Chef Eugenia Hobson and her team prepare authentic Greek dishes served attentively in a breezy Aegean-inspired atmosphere. Our signature dishes include the grilled octopus, the kolokithokeftedes (stuffed zucchini fritters), the lavraki whole fish (branzino) filleted table side, and the arni giouvetsi (lamb shank with orzo). Our selection of nine desserts are all made fresh daily in-house and feature Greek classics such as the baklava and the galaktoboureko. Our wine list is meticulously curated on a seasonal basis by son Philip Hobson selecting from Greece's top vineyards who produce indigenous varietals such as Assyrtiko & Xinomavro, and western grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon & Sauvignon Blanc.     Celebrated my birthday with my husband and adult daughter at Mia’s for brunch today. Mia’s never disappoints! Fabulous fresh food, excellent service by Ricardo, and bonus tiramisu with a lighted birthday candle. Sunday brunch is an amazing small plates-shared entrees way to truly experience their broad menu. The Sunday Salad is delicious as are the freshly-made pastas with seafood, like Shrimp Fra Diavolo and linguine and clams. Small pizzas with feta and Kalamata olives and a rainbow offering of crisp salads with exquisite dressings are perfect for vegetarians. Highly recommend reservations for this outstanding Sunday brunch in Old Town Alexandria.

    We came in for Valentine’s Day and our experience was incredible! We got seated in a room that was elegantly and romantically decorated. Our server Abby was fantastic! She did an amazing job communicating the menu and the specials and gave us nothing short of 5 star service! The food was delicious and our proteins were executed perfectly. On the way out there was a photo backdrop the was prepared by the management who were happy to take photos of us! Our entire experience at Ada’s for Valentine’s Day was absolutely one to remember!

    Palette 22 is now our go-to restaurant. Each dish is well-prepared, flavorful, and represents the country of origin. The service is always polite and responsive. Tip: you can order a few dishes at a time. You do not need to place your entire order at one time. This allows you to enjoy each dish more slowly. We like taking turns ordering 2 items at a time. From last night, my top picks were the Sesane Steak, Lebanese Tacos, and the Funghi Flat Bread.

    My friend had the brisket and loved it.. cocktails were great too! We stopped in for a late lunch and definitely want to go back for dinner. Also loved the hushpuppies and potato salad. He was talking about going back for more before we hit the driveway on the way home ~
