Influenced by the culture of sip-a-little-bit-of-this-and-eat-a-little-bit-of-that, Tapavino began in August 2012 as Australia’s first Sherry Bar in Sydney, in a little lane-way not unlike something you would find in the cobblestoned alleyways of Spain. Helped by the beautiful warm vibe that greets you as you step inside and take a seat among floor-to-ceiling wine bottles, Tapavino was named runner-up in Sydney Morning Herald's 'Best New Bar' Awards within 4-months of opening. 12-months later we were named 'Best Bar with Food'.

We've since added restaurants in Circular Quay, Westfield Sydney, Neutral Bay, Chatswood and Galeries Victoria, and in 2015 we added organic, fresh produce from our farm in Byron Bay.     Service was very good and the all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was very fresh and didn't have to wait a long time for it. Would definitely recommend checking this place and would come here again for sure.

    Everything is great once we arrived. However, when I called to say we were running late and that two people were last minute cancellations, the girl who answered the phone was extremely rude to me. "Would be great for more notice next time." Was her response to me. I had just called to be courteous about the time so was not expecting this at all. We ended up having 5 people dining and the somm and service was great. Just a bit disappointed with the calling situation - especially when I was trying to be polite about us running late. Have heard about this same complaint from other professionals. You'll need to let this person (no idea of her name) know, that this type of behavior is unacceptable - especially when someone calls to politely let you know we are running late. Will be back, but would love for this to be taken on board. Cheers.
