Amazing service and fantastic food! Owner/chef and staff made sure our experience was excellent

Valentine's Day dinner, Longboard was busy but things ran on time. Food service seemed quicker than other restaurants. Food was excellent...truly Caribbean seafood with a southern flair. The Yellowfin tuna presentation (served over Israeli couscous with a Thai coconut and apricot sauce) was unlike anything I've ever had and was delicious. My wife's scallops were prepared perfectly. Appetizer, cocktail and desserts were also very good, as was the ambiance. It was crowded and noisy, but not so much that we couldn't enjoy each other's conversation. A lovely date night!

Truly awesome and beautiful experience at the independent. The staff were all so helpful and accommodating. We were there for Valentine's Day and the food was phenomenal as well as the service. We were so well taken care of from start to finish. Jen, the manager was so nice and willing to do whatever it took to make our experience very memorable. Thank you everyone.

Our waiter, Matthew, got us off to a great start! He gave us plenty of attention without making us feel rushed!! Even though it was Valentine’s Day, the full menu was available. They did have one holiday cocktail and we tried it and enjoyed it. The meal was perfection on a plate from beginning to end. We have been patrons of this restaurant for over ten years because they want you to have an enjoyable meal. Try the Sunday brunch too!

I usually order the daily special, the snapper last night was excellent as well as the steam pot and the fried shrimp ordered by my companions. The food is consistently excellent no matter the day or time of the year!
