I celebrated my 60th birthday at Jeff Ruby's in Louisville, KY , and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! Every aspect of the evening was exceptional, beginning with the warm and elegant ambiance that set the tone for a truly special celebration. The meal itself was nothing short of perfection. Each dish, from the salad to dessert, was crafted with impeccable attention to detail. My steak was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, while the sides were equally outstanding—every bite felt like a celebration in its own right. The dessert, which capped off the evening, was a masterpiece, both in taste and presentation. A huge shoutout to our server, Darrell, who was the epitome of professionalism and charm. His suggestions were spot on and added so much to our dining experience. From wine pairings to menu recommendations, he guided us with confidence and enthusiasm, ensuring that every choice we made was a winner. His warmth and attentiveness made us feel truly valued, turning an already great evening into something extraordinary.

Great place to celebrate a special day. The twin filets were as delicious as ever. The Lexitonian salad is the best salad you will have in your life, and it’s bottomless! And don’t even get me started on the huge cookie for dessert. SUPERB!

Omigosh. This place was DELICIOUS. It was our first time, certainly won't be our last. First, the bread is FIRE. We loved the guava butter. We shared the chicken empanadas, which were very tasty and had a lot of filling. Husband and I both had the picanha steak, which was cooked perfectly, very tender and so flavorful. The black beans were literally the best I ever had. Our son has a Cubano, which was huge and had a lot of meat. I wanted dessert, but no room. Someday, though.

This was our second time dining at Steak & Bourbon and I have to say this has been our favorite dining experience in Louisville! Our server was attentive, hospitable and excellent! For drinks, my wife ordered the Bourbon Smash and I ordered a Blue Moon. Our dining experience began with bread that was salted perfectly with a house made butter candle nestled in the middle. This alone is an impressive start to our date night! Then we ordered the Steak and Cheese Hand Pies which were the perfect combination of flakey crust, steak, cheese and sauce! Our server had refilled our beverages and reset our utensils between each plate. The biggest decision of the evening, which steak to choose? We both ordered the center cut filet, I went for the 10 oz and she ordered the 7 oz, both with Au Poivre sauce. Our side was the Shepherd's Pie. Everything was perfectly cooked, tender and we ended our dining experience more than satisfied! We can't wait for our next visit to Steak and Bourbon!

Excellent. Great food great environment. Only complaint is the tables are a little small if you are only 2 people. They did a good job keeping the table open as we ate.
