The Charmant Restaurant serves rustic french–inspired cuisine in a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Utilizing the best of the season’s offerings, the dishes emerging from the open kitchen are fresh, simple, and down-to-earth. The Restaurant is open seven days a week for brunch, and dinner Monday through Saturday. The Private Dining Room inside The Restaurant seats 14 for tasteful gatherings. Take in the spectacular view of downtown La Crosse on the seasonal Rooftop Terrace (open May-September), and enjoy hand crafted beverages in the Lobby Lounge seven days a week.

When the beef arrives, we refrigerate it in a perfectly calibrated environment until the moment it enters our custom-designed broilers – each capable of reaching up to 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. Over the top? Not if you want the kind of char that steak lovers dream about. Not if you want to serve a steak that has no equal. Welcome to the great steak of Wisconsin.The same dedication to quality explains why we deal with only the best seafood suppliers, why we procure locally sourced meats and produce whenever possible, and why we have created one of Wisconsin’s truly great wine lists.     We’ve been enjoying Kaminski’s for over 10 years. As a frequent visitor to many steakhouses in my hometown Chicago, I’ve always appreciated the excellent quality of this remote steakhouse in the scenic surroundings along the Wisconsin river. The quality remains as good as ever, but the prices, as in Chicago steakhouses, have just gotten too high. I’ve cut way back from my 1-2 monthly visits to Chi-town steakhouses because prices have risen at least 50% since before Covid. Now I have to do the same in visits to the Dells area. During previous 3+ day visits, I’d ideally dine at Kaminski’s and Ishnala for two of those nights. Now I can only justify maybe one of them per visit. I’m hopeful Kaminski can keep costs down without sacrificing their caliber. IMO, they have the finest cuts of all the steakhouses in the area and the Dells would be lesser without them. But $400+ for three steaks, salads and drinks is just too much.
