The food was absolutely phenomenal. The steak that I ordered, which was the steak Oscar was the best I have had. I really cannot say enough good things or recommended enough. We drove over 90 minutes and it was well worth the drive.

First time we have ate there. It was amazing! We had reservations at 6:15, showed up at 6:00 and they seated us right away. We had smash burgers and they were hot and cheesy!! Absolutely delicious! And for dessert we had the strawberry cake and coffee! Wow!! There was a guy playing the piano, taking requests. Our waitress was nice, patient, and very knowledgeable of the food and drinks. She was amazing!!

The food was outstanding; The atmosphere was nice but The restaurant was chilly though and I had to actually bring a blanket from my car. If it would have been warmer in the restaurant it would have been perfect. It was 25 degrees outside after-all. We were the first ones seated and they sat us next to the front window by the door. Who seats people by the front door in the winter? So needless to say I was so cold we hurried up and ate so we could leave which made our romantic night not so great. I will add that the restaurant adds a 20% gratuity to your check no matter the size of your party plus using a credit card adds another $3.50.

The bourbon and wine selection? World-class. Want to impress your significant other? Make a reservation. Ask for a table by the bar, and if you want to go the extra mile, request rose petals—they’ll make it happen. And whatever you do, order “The King.” It’s an Old Fashioned inspired by Elvis—peanut butter, banana, and bacon whiskey. Sounds unusual, but trust me, it’s next-level good. Oaklawn is a place you don’t just visit—you experience it.

Olivia was amazing. I know they were short staffed but you would have never known based on how well she took care of us.
