The Daffodil is a Michelin-awarded food-led country pub, with high quality Shepherd's Hut accommodation (bookable directly via The Daffodil website and via Air B&B) in the pretty rural village of Penrhiwllan. Located 4 miles from Newcastle Emlyn, midway between Cardigan, Carmarthen & Aberystwyth, it's an ideal location for a few days rest or a relaxing meal in scenic surroundings. Food at The Daffodil is freshly prepared using the best quality local produce wherever possible. At the Nag’s Head we are passionate about food and the excellent quality produce that is available locally. Welcome to Aberdunant Hall where we have our fantastic outdoor heated terrace (during peak season), cosy restaurant with an ambient atmosphere in which to dine. Our Menu consists of a number of classic dishes, steaks and meats from the Grill as well as a collection of more sophisticated plates. As we are now in our Winter Season Dinner is served Friday & Saturday evening with our fabulous Home cooked Carvery on Sundays. We only serve quality wines and beers and the tastiest food which is sourced from local suppliers. Adam Ellis our Exec Chef has designed our menus with a wide variety of options for special diets and with just a little tweak can be altered to suit the majority or diets. We also have an area for guests who wish to bring their dogs when you dine. However please note that this must be notified in advance. Should we not be advised of your requirement prior to arrival we not be able to accommodate.

A lovely evening fantastic food and service. We ate with a two youngest granddaughters at 5pm everything was perfect. So whether your eating early with children, eating later with friends or a romantic meal for two. The potted lobster never disappoints.

Very welcoming staff and great atmosphere. The food was simply stunning and full of flavour, particularly the chicken and veg dish that my partner chose. Really efficient service and will definitely be back!

Due to graduation at the University everywhere was fully booked. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us( party of 5 with 2 having mobility issues). Food was good value for money and was prompt. Would visit again
