Great place for lunch, particularly good for fish with a good choice of starters and mains. Definitely a place for a special meal as prices for 3 courses and wine in the pricey side but well worth a visit. Great views from the picture windows.

It was our first time dining at the restaurant, such an amazing experience! Never tasted food like it before and customer service was impeccable.

Lovely place, beautiful food and fantastic service.

We planned a weekend break in Dolgellau and Y Sospan was booked two weeks before the trip. We last ate there in September 2023 so being keen to visit again is a strong recommendation. We both wanted the lamb shank and it was outstanding in quality and quantity. It's a really interesting building, the service was excellent, the whole experience just what we hoped for. We did, in fact, return for lunch, without booking, on Saturday as we were keen to give the Cafe Menu a try. It'll be on our wish list anytime we are in North Wales and want a decent meal.
