Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber… John Dory, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores and although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name it also has a very British name, John Dory. Faber is the Latin word for ‘Smith’ – Like a few other Latin occupational names (e.g. Agricola for farmer, Nauta for sailor). Smith being the most common name in English we decided it sits well with our name as we want to be accessible to all and give everyday people the opportunity to be part of our journey and own the business they work in.What sets us apart is our commitment to working with local fishmongers who run out to the coast each evening to collect day-boat fish and local ingredients. This means that everything on our menu is fresh, sustainably sourced, and supports the local economy.We believe in creating dishes that are not only delicious but also ethical and responsible.

'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch. Sunday roasts with 'all thetrimming's' - we tried beef and pork - had everything a Sunday roast shouldhave. Somewhere rather spiffing to go' (Fay Machsler, Evening Standard)

La Palombe is a new neighbourhood bistro from restaurateur James Chiavarini (also of Il Portico) & chef patron Jake Leach (previously head chef at the three Michelin starred The Ledbury).A large wood burning grill takes center stage where the majority of the dishes are cooked over live embers. James & Jake work together every shift to serve dishes with a real sense of terroir and provenance, including our speciality of wild foods foraged ourselves. Located in Fulham Koka has a light comfortable Dining area that is full air conditioned and includes an outside patio. Whilst only being open less than six months its already making a positive impression as can be seen by Its Google reviews. Chef Donica's Summer Menu has just launched with an array of healthy dishes and including many enjoyable vegetarian options the wine list although boutique is more than adequate and has suggested pairing with Menu items.
