Ye Olde Punchbowl Inn is certainly Ye Olde, even by the standards of British country pubs. The building has been there for at least 700 years – nobody knows exactly how long it has stood on what is now Ludlow Road – and has been a pub since 1740, serving the traveller, the public of Bridgnorth and all others who entered their doors.     Wonderful valentines meal with my gorgeous wife, food was excellent our waitress was super and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble and it was an all round lovely experience. They had speciality cocktails on too. The restaurant was not over crowded and the food was all served freshly cooked, full of flavour, and piping hot. The chef came around at the end to check we enjoyed the food which was a nice touch too. We will definitely be coming back soon.

    A good friend travelled many miles to meet me. I chose the Ivy as I have been going there ever since it opened in Birmingham and eat in the many Ivy restaurants in London and elsewhere. I trust the menu and the wine list. Today the only things that went wrong were a polite request for the table I usually get or the second best table ( in my opinion). Yet having booked several weeks ago both were taken. When were they booked? Secondly the double espresso arrived cold. It was unlike the Ivy to do that. I have known all the previous managers but not the present one. I must introduce myself at my next visit.

    Yet again the food was unbelievable and easily my favourite restaurant. Staff are also all fantastic. Surprised us all by singing happy birthday to my wife in the big 40. Thank you again and see you soon
