Chef and owner Joel Gilbert decided after years of searching for the perfect location that he was going to begin his journey with his first brick and mortar restaurant on the most Northern Point of Forest Lake, in Lake Zurich Illinois. Once again, Jane and I had a marvelous evening at this venue. Our server was superb despite the restaurant operating with minimum labor (not the owners fault). The salmon special was quite tasty and the asparagus was delicious. Jane’s escargot was so tasty I had a few (first time in 40 years!). A lovely dinner.

We made an early reservation to enjoy a quieter dinner. The server was wonderful and the food was good as always. I was a little confused with my wedge salad as it had an oil and vinegar dressing on it in addition to the sparing blue cheese dressing. Either way it was delicious.
