Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times. The Hawthorn is a Georgian gem in the heart of Haworth, packed full of period features offering a relaxed environment to unwind with friends and family. This warm and appealing gastropub has been renovated throughout to showcase an array of local antiques including a stunning array of Barraclough clocks, homage to John Barraclough himself, Clockmaker to the Brontes, who used to live in this very building in the Georgian era.We serve only food made using the freshest seasonal British produce and our menu changes through the weeks to reflect this. We have a custom-made Josper charcoal grill which is the hottest indoor grill available and used by the best restaurants in the country. Cooking on the Josper ensures none of the natural moisture or flavour escapes from the food, whilst at the same time adding the distinct chargrilled taste.

    The rib-eye was absolutely perfect, succulent and cooked to perfection! All four sides were delicious, we highly recommend the turnsworth mash, beef dripping fries, creamy spinach and mac&cheese. The wine was rich and the sticky toffee pudding was the cherry on top. The service was great, our host checked up on us regularly and made sure we had everything we needed. You never have to wonder how to call over for some help! The restaurant is beautiful and feels old and rustic however the noise levels were way too high, the acoustics need to be looked into as I found myself almost having to yell across the table. Some light jazz music would also be nice!

    First time coming to Leeds and I have to say that I am impressed with the city itself, the cleanliness, the vibe. Absolutely amazing! The restaurant is a stunning historical venue, making you feel as you are in an opera or a theatre salon in the 19th century. The food was an absolute delight as well as the service and the staff is so accommodating and friendly. A must go place in town, in my opinion. You will not regret it!

    My husband and I enjoyed an excellent Christmas lunch here today. It wasn't too noisy, despite some large groups there. The serving staff were friendly and helpful and the food was top class. The rooms were nicely decorated with muted colours for Christmas (nothing garish.) It was altogether a super experience.
