We get our name from John Gahan, a prominent merchant and importer of wines, teas, and groceries on Prince Edward Island in the 19th century. His former place of residence is now the location of the original Gahan House in Charlottetown, P.E. To share our award-winning ales with more of Atlantic Canada, we opened our doors and our taps in Halifax, N.S., Fredericton, Saint John, and Moncton, N.B., and St. John’s, N.L.We began as a brewpub, and we stay true to our beginnings by having a brew system in-house, ensuring that the beer we serve is as fresh as possible.     My pregnant wife and I went to EDNA with two other couples for an evening out. The food was so good, that immediately following the meal, my wife started her labour. After paying the bill, she thought it might be best to go to the IWK as she had started feeling contractions. By the time we got there, the hospital staff noted that the baby would be coming any minute. And so our second daughter was born shortly thereafter. It was an incredibly smooth and easily delivery with no complications. Mom and baby are both doing great. Thanks for the fantastic meal and memorable evening out EDNA!

    It was outstanding in all areas. The service was awesome from start to finish. I was a server on a ship for many years so I know what it takes to give good service. I'm also a very good cook , so when going out with my husband he is fussy, its hard to find a restaurant with good food. You aced it from the start salad we received to creme bur lee, Oh plus the wine!! Thank you for making our date night amazing!!!
