We had a fabulous very unique brunch on Sunday. Could not have been more delicious. The place is charming inside. You never know from the exterior. So glad I saw them on KQED’s Check Please.

Fabulous food, authentic Palestinian flavors and made with the freshest ingredients. It my new go to place to wow my friends. It succeeds everytime!

This is a neighborhood gem with a colorful vibe. The drinks are good.

Delicious. Something for everyone. The outside patio was warm and cozy, even though it was a very cold evening. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Dining at Akemi is always a satisfying experience: the food is delicious, fresh and a good value for the quality and size of portions. I typically order the Salmon miso bento, it comes with delicious white miso soup, salmon grilled with umami rich miso sauce and extra on side, cabbage salad, roasted brussel sprouts with honey mustard glaze and rice; enough food to take a portion home for next days lunch. Love the ambience when they play soft Jazz : pop music not so much since I still like to have conversations with my dining companions. I’ve come here many times over many years and it is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants for all kinds of occasions.
