Nestled amidst serene landscapes, The Sidings combines a farm shop and café to offer an immersive experience for train enthusiasts and culinary connoisseurs alike. Our exquisite First Class carriage café, adorned with elegant art-deco elements, provides a one-of-a-kind dining experience from 10am – 4pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and 10am - 3pm on Sundays. Our carriage Farm Shop, open from 10am – 5pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and 10am - 4pm on Sundays, features fresh, seasonal, locally produced products, ensuring quality and sustainability. You can book a table for inside the café, however walk ins are welcome. We are only dog friendly outside on a lead, unless they are a service dog. The award winning Carriages restaurant is uniquely located within the allpay ltd campus in Whitestone Business Park, Hereford, and has been described as "City chic in rural Hereford". Carriages was inspired by founder Tony Killeen's passion for trains and the quirky setting of the restaurant, which overlooks the old Whitestone railway station.You can enjoy views of the rolling hills from the floor to ceiling windows in the top floor restaurant; dine inside or alfresco, on the spacious balcony, or walk the landscaped grounds surrounding the Four Seasons lake - which transforms into a maze of secret gardens, impressively lit up at night. Carriages is open Friday and Saturday evenings.For bookings over 6 and/or to book our free mini bus service, for use after dining, please call 01432 852303 or email carriages@allpay.netDue to the nature of the restaurant, any children dining must be over 12 years old and accompanied by an adult.Dress code is strictly Smart Casual.

    Fabulous festive train with an interesting menu. The pulled beef was very good …. Afternoon tea looked great ….. maybe next time. The gardens were well kept & the farm shop lovely - bought the local Cassis . The restored carriages were a n authentic treat - it felt as if we were starting off on a wonderful journey…. Comfortable seats, original table lamps & just a brilliant way to spend a few hours. Thank you & Merry Christmas. Next stop ….2025!

    Sixth visit to Carriages and never disappoints. Having paid double to eat at the Shard in London, the food here is miles better. Minibus home after always an added bonus.

    My husband and l always enjoy going to La Madeleine's restaurant. The service is prompt, friendly and attentative. The quality of the food and beverages is of excellent quality. It is easy to make a reservation by phone and online as well. This restaurant is situated in the heart of Hereford city. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy and inviting and for better weather days, there is a lovely garden to the rear of the restaurant. La Madeleine's is ideal for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. They have a tempting selection of cakes! I have no hesitation in recommending La Madeleine's restaurant.
