There were 6 of us and each meal was beautifully cooked and served by pleasant, helpful and efficient staff. A perfect, pre-Christmas, family lunch.

Beforenoon tea was really lovely although none of us could finish it so took lots home. Service, setting, food and drink lovely.

We went for my husband‘s birthday and we’re not disappointed. The server we had was exceptional she was attentive without being overbearing. She I’ve heard me mention. To my husband that I was missing something from my dinner plate and confirmed what I said then acted immediately to rectify this. The food was delicious and when I mentioned quietly that it was my husband‘s birthday, she said leave it with me and on his desert came a candle which was a lovely surprise for him. Will definitely be coming back. PS, my husband loved the fact that the table had space and was not cluttered so it allowed us to have a very relaxed dining experience.

Welcoming pub with good food selection, tasty and very good value as £12 mains on a Tuesday. Very busy but good atmosphere and attentive but not intrusive service. Will be back.
