Eating & Drinking on the waterfront in Kingscote.The Zone Restaurant & Bar is located in the Chapman Building of the Aurora Ozone Hotel and features stunning views over Nepean Bay. Open daily for breakfast from 6:30 – 10:00am, lunch from 11:30 – 2:30pm, and dinner from 5:00 – 8:00pm, the menu focuses on international cuisine, seafood and local Kangaroo Island produce.Enjoy the relaxed vibe of The Zone Restaurant & Bar with its walls decorated in old photos and newspaper articles providing a look into its heritage. You will also notice colourful pieces of artwork featured throughout the The Zone Restaurant created by local Kangaroo Island artist Neil Sheppard (Shep’s Studio).

Sunset Food and Wine is a modern bistro which overlooks the beautiful American Beach. It was the first and only restaurant on Kangaroo Island to be awarded one Chef Hat from the Australian Good Food Guide in 2017 which it maintains today.

The Retallick family have dedicated the last two decades to rewilding much of their 600 acres of land and preserving native species of both fauna and flora. Chef Di and Chef Yulius work passionately in collaboration with Sandy to bring this vision to fruition by developing irresistible flavours to Swagman. Our wonderful front of house and kitchen staff play an important role in bringing you a memorable experience.
