Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca.     We’ve just been to the Easter family event and what a great afternoon we had! The event was free which was amazing. The entertainment was fabulous the kids really enjoyed themselves and they really got the kids involved. They had a reptile man who was amazing. Alice in wonderland & Rabbit and glitter tattoos. The food was lovely and quick service. The manager made sure all the staff kept on top of each areas. We can’t wait to come back thanks again! X

    I have been going to Bear for a number of years now , and can genuinely say that the service and food is excellent. My latest visit was on Easter Sunday this year and I noticed also that the seating arrangements had been updated and replaced with new styled seating for eating and lounging whilst you may drop in for that well deserved coffee break . It is well located and well kept and managed by helpful staff , who go the extra lengths to please the customer . Go try it and see yourself especially if you’re lucky to get a window seat view of the River . Highly recommended! DP (Wilmslow )

    Ordered 4 dishes off the small plates. Did not like the batter like coating on the meat dishes we ordered and found the bread hard, not soft that came with the houmus and the artisan oil. We went on a lovely sunny day but chose to eat inside which was quite cold as no heating was on.
