Gather at the Blue Pig Tavern, our distinctive restaurant tucked in the corner of Congress Hall. Known for hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites, its name derives from a gambling parlor sited in Congress Hall in the mid-1800s. Earlier still, in the 1700s, Elias Hughes operated a tavern for whalers on this site. It was the first tavern in Cape May. Today, we offer timeless classics and new seasonal delights with ingredients that are always farm-fresh.

Plan a romantic dinner with cuisine such as baked brie, margherita pizza, pan fried grouper, filet mignon, broiled salmon, pasta primavera and more.Vegan and gluten-free guests are welcome at Ocean 7, as well. Long before the farm-to-table trend invaded America, Louisa’s espoused this philosophy, and served food to match. The tiny-but-iconic eatery was established in 1980 and has been dishing out incredibly fresh and delicious food in the small historic yellow building ever since. The menu is all regional fare — fish caught from the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay, plus vegetables, fruits, herbs (and beautiful fresh flowers) from West Cape May’s Beach Plum Farm, augmented by produce from other New Jersey farms.The kitchen philosophy is to cook simple, expertly seasoned dishes that are lovingly prepared and made from fresh, first-rate ingredients.     We chose The Ebbitt Room to celebrate Christmas! The restaurant was beautifully decorated, the staff was friendly and the food was excellent. We had the king salmon, the cioppino and the lamb shank. All 3 entrees were very flavorful and nicely plated. For dessert we shared the donuts and cinnamon ice cream. Both were enjoyable. The Ebbitt Room is one of Cape May’s finest restaurants!

    Small intimate dinning room in the Washington pedestrian mall. Professional, friendly & attentive staff. Attractively decorated for the holiday while still maintaining elegance. It is BYOB. The New England Clam Chowder was flavorful with generous amount of clams. Husband had grilled polenta with broccoli rabe & fresh shaved Pecorino Romano cheese “like Mom used to make.” I couldn’t finish my seafood risotto. So generous was the portion of local shrimp, scallops & clams though I tried ! Husband had Shrimp & Salmon with mash potatoes in chili sauce. Delicious. Try the Pumpkin cheesecake & you’ll think it’s Thanksgiving again. Highly reccomended

    We had not been to Louisa’s in many years in spite of having a home here. We were very happy to rediscover it! The scallops and flounder were both delicious. Service was also great. It’s a small, intimate little BYOB. It’s happily back on our regular list !
