There are a wide variety of restaurants in Ludlow, but Clive Arms stands out if you want traditional British food that makes the most of Ludlow’s local ingredients.Our food is inspired by the seasonal produce of Shropshire and our surrounding counties. Many of our ingredients are handmade at Ludlow Farmshop. The Bateman Arms was built c.1750 by Sir James Bateman (Lord Mayor Of London) as a building where his Estate workers would collect on pay day. Fabulous choices of starters, mains and desserts. The hardest part was picking one. All the courses chosen were beautifully presented, making the eating even more of a pleasure. All the food was delicious. A perfect evening out.

Food was exceptional, my potatoes were cold and the dish was freshly made again for me, disappointed I couldn’t eat at the same time as my husband but the food made up for this when mine arrived! Highly recommend.

Hearty food cooked with flare. Always flavourful and beautifully presented. The owners and staff are very welcoming and accommodating. Nice selection of beers. The inn has bags of character and has a friendly atmosphere with a mix of locals and visitors. The whole family live this place which makes the 25 mile drive worth it. Faultless
