Massive wooden door, old bricks and rustic beams of Harrisonburg’s old City Produce Exchange building, the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience at The LOCAL Chop & Grill House. Our menu features fresh, hand-selected, LOCAL and seasonal foods prepared with a progressive flair.
Farm to Table is the mainstay of our eating philosophy. That’s why we work with community food producers to support organic, sustainable, LOCAL farms, and put the finest, freshest foods on the table for you. We’re serious about making choices that are environmentally sound, from the food we carefully hand-select to the aprons our kitchen and wait staff wear.

The entire experience was excellent, from the reservations through the end of the visit...flawless; we could not have been more pleased. All menu options sounded delicious and our waiter Kris was exceptionally knowledgeable about all menu items and was very professional. We started off with their amazing fresh focaccia bread (some of the best we have ever eaten) and then continued on to the brussel sprouts appetizer; absolutely delicious. My wife selected the sirloin with arugula chimichurri with an amazing side of apples, sweet potatoes and kale. I chose the scallops and yukon gold mashed potatoes with a demi-glace sauce. Everything was cooked to perfection. Being able to source the majority of the food locally was a bonus and the quality of it really shined through. Thanks for a great evening of dining, and Kris, the bonus piece of focaccia to go really made our evening. Very thoughtful touch. Really looking forward to our next visit!

My steak was perfect, my husband's pork chop was kind of gristly. Apps and drinks were delicious, dining room was a little sleepy for a Saturday night (they were setting up all the tables for the next day while we were just served our dinner). Perhaps we should have stayed in the bar which seemed fun and cozy and a little more lively.

Wonderful food like always. The steak tartare is our favorite appetizer! We always get every time we go . Also, the steaks never disappoint.

Chris, our waiter, made excellent recommendations on food and wine. It was our 52 anniversary and we were presented with anniversary dessert. We felt very special.

Was a bit disappointed in duck breast not being on the menu. Desserts were disappointing as well. Filet was delicious.
