Farm-to-table and authentic New Orleans cuisine come together in the French Quarter at M bistro, where the chefs take an indigenous approach to the preparation of meats, seafood and produce from farmers in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama. Three velvet-draped semi-private “Cheater’s Booths” and a private Wine Room offer additional venues for a special meal.

Our restaurant and lounge are conveniently located on the third floor lobby level of The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans.

Overall an amazing restaurant; however, disappointed because I noted it was a birthday celebration and they didn’t even acknowledge it or ask or anything.

The food at M Bistro was all exceptionally delicious. The service was superb, and the ambiance is fantastic- a truly beautiful venue, as is the entire Ritz Carlton. Our only 2 minor complaints are that the restaurant is difficult to find in the hotel. It's on the third floor behind the bar. We wandered around a while trying to figure out where it is, as directions are not displayed anywhere. The second is the coffee is similar to New York coffee- more watery than we're used to in New Orleans. But all in all, I heartily recommend M Bistro, and we'll be happy to return. As for the food, I had the redfish, which was really outstanding. The oysters Rockefeller were a unique recipe, but excellent.

Made reservation 2 months in advance to arrive and be told there would be a 30 minute wait. Staff is very nice but appear to be inexperienced. Food ranged from mediocre to bad.

Came from out of town, wanting a nice experience/good service plus good food for our Valentines Day…. Will say that I will not be returning here or recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Inexperienced server, far from the caliber expected for the Ritz Carlton, such a Gorgeous restaurant and a $500 lunch. Appetizers without app plates, Wine took a good 20 minutes to be brought to the table, Server did not pour wine into wine glasses at all. Steaks without steak knives, Asked for local directions and her respond was that I should check Google 🙄 Gorgeous Hotel, And a Truly Beautiful restaurant.

My husband is a chef and we are no strangers to fine dining. Dined here with a party of 6. For an upscale restaurant inside the Ritz Carlton, it was mediocre at best. Our appetizers came out well before our drinks. The waitress convinced my sister to get a double hurricane drink, which ended up being $42 and not worth it. The appetizers overall were good. Our family friend and I ordered soups; we had to wait for spoons. My brother in law and I both ordered steaks; we had to ask for steak knives. My steak, ordered medium, was well done. It had a hint of pink at the very middle and that was it. My water glass was empty for about 30 minutes. 6 beignets for $18; you can get double that and better at the local beignet shops. Overall, food was decent and the service was lousy. The vibe I got was, the waitress knew she was getting an automatic 20% out of us due to being a party of 6. For a bill well over $500, we should’ve been paying for an experience that just wasn’t there.
