   During my trip to Tampa, the bisque soup was the best bite I had. Overall dinner which I had tuna and my father had grouper. Best dinner experience out of the 4 days in town from Chicago

   We tried Michael's a week ago and were not impressed. The service was great as was the ambiance, so we decided to try it again. We thought we may have ordered the wrong food. We tried different dishes this time and it wasn't great. My medium rare steak was overcooked, and my partner's dish was average. She had 2 appetizers instead of an entree. The service was exceptional which is why we probably gave it another chance, but I am not sure it will go into our restaurant rotation. We may give it another shot and order something else, again, but I don't think we will get a better result on the quality of food. It is a nice place and super busy, so it is worth going to people watch.

   Fabulous restaurant... Never disappointed when we are in town and have the opportunity to eat at this wonderful lively spot! All the staff including the OWNER are so hands on and helpful!

   I always used to give Michael's 5 stars. But, last time we were in in Dec. we had a bad experience with waiting and the food (first bad experience), and this time, I was really disappointed that the portion sizes have really gone down, they are even putting it on a MUCH smaller plate to TRY and make it looks bigger. All this and the prices have gone UP. No longer does Chef Michael or his wife come around and chat with customers like the used to do. And they are REALLY packing in the rooms, too tight, too noisy. Look, I know it's about making money, but what happened to keeping your customers happy? I loved going here because it was one of the LAST privately owned restaurants in the area (not a corporate chain), unless they sold it? I have no idea. I just know it's not like it used to be, and that makes me very sad. The food is still good, but even that is slipping. I had the Fillet and 1/2 lobster tail. The 1/2 tail was MAYBE 2 oz. SUPER tiny, no drawn butter or any sort of seasoning, just boiled, and the fillet was also plain with just a few drips of sauce, and not much better than a sirloin. It was OK, but not what I'm used to from Michael's. The fish my wife had was also a small portion, too small. Perhaps its time to find another favorite restaurant?

   We had an excellent dinner date. I ordered the Honey Bourbon Salmon and a White Sangria. My husband ordered the Ahi Tuna. We just had the focaccia bread and didn’t order an additional appetizer. We shared a Key Lime pie for dessert. The food and service was exceptional. We had a reservation and were immediately seated when arriving.

    If you want great sea food, this is the place. Prices are starting to get up there but the food and service are outstanding.
