    First time there and was a great experience. Smaller place with a nice neighborhood vibe. Food was exceptional and our server Cheryl Lynn understands what service means. Gave great recommendations and improved our total experience.

    Food was very good but it is the first time I’ve ever seen a drink returned to the table. Totally bizarre and truly poor customer service.

    Chef Nick Bodavinus’s restaurants are always a great choice. Seafood focused menu with a Pacific Northwest focus, but includes international influences. Great wine program and cocktails.

    I loved the decorations and decor. The seafood was good. Not great. I specifically chose Montlake because of a friend's recommendation. I didn't think the portion sizes were all that great. I think I could have got the same or better plates at Pappadeaux for less (and it includes all you can eat fresh baked bread). The desert was underwhelming, though I was pleased that they put a candle in it for my wife's birthday.

    We waited over 30 minutes to be seated after our reservation. They did provide a complementary shrimp cocktail but were not very nice about the wait. They kept directing us to the bar to have a drink. I know you cannot fully manage tables but this happens a lot at this restaurant.
