Always great food. Service is good and location on Market is convenient to Grand and Playhouse. An excellent value

We love bardea- the food is inventive, delicious, and always changing. I did notice the portions were considerably smaller on the tri tip with Guava Bernaise- a particular favorite we get when we're there. I know things are tough all over, but this was the only disappointing thing in a spectacular meal. I recently heard they were up for a James Beard award and I could not be more excited for them- it's just always a lovely night out.

We booked Casa Nonna on a whim being that we are not from the area. It turned out to be a home run because everything was excellent. The ambiance somehow pulled off being elegant and hip at the same time. The music was hip and turned to a comfortable loudness. The server was excellent! He was formal yet very personable. The food was amazing. The Italian salad was fresh and crunchy with a very good dressing. The paperdelle was fresh as can be and the short rib delicious. My wife loved the clams and linguini dish. We may have been a little out of place with our young children but they didn’t make us feel that way and even customized the pizza to their liking. I ordered a truffle fig pizza ‘to go’ because i was so intrigued by how it sounded and looked ( i saw one coming out from the kitchen). It was amazing at 10:00 p.m. that night and for breakfast the next morning!!! I don’t know anybody that works at or owns this restaurant and i have nothing to gain from this review. We just thought it was a really great place. It was so good that i didn’t want to leave this review because i want it be all ours! Definitely going yo make Casa Nonna a frequent stop.

Lovely dining experience. We were seated promptly and served water immediately. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable, and her recommendation of the Pinot Grigio was spot-on (less sweet and more minerally than a typical PG). The complimentary bruschetta was tasty. My wife ordered the cioppino. The seafood was exquisitely prepared with a marinara that had a softness and butteriness to it. I enjoyed a cheese ravioli (all pasta made in house and it tasted like it) with sage and butter sauce. The coconut/pineapple sorbet was really delicious. The restaurant itself is not exactly cozy - it has an old-school openness, and a sort of cool modernity - but the food, and service, were excellent. Highly recommended.
