"Brothers Graziano and Maurizio Ricci bring you traditional recipes from Rome, Italy. We specialize in homemade pasta, fish, veal, and chicken plates, in addition to imported Italian wines and unique Italian deserts.
Our pasta, prepared daily in the restaurant, is a favorite for all of our customers. I had another of Osteria Romana's risotto specials, and it was very good. The shrimp with crqb stuffing served atop the risotto is a nice touch. The polenta with tomato sauce, an appetizer, was good, but definitely not worth the price. Another guest had the fettuccine bolognese and enjoyed it. This restaurant could up its bread quality - the bread was cold and rather gummy;. The noise level on a Saturday night was not pleasant, but this has nothing to do with the food

We live in New York. When we visit family in Connecticut Osteria Romano is our go to restaurant. The food, service and staff are amazing. I had the pumpkin margarita last night. Carla, the bartender, did a fabulous job.

Went there for our anniversary, well worth it. Had their delicious calamari with balsamic drizzle and a veal dinner plate for the main course. I can say that we have never had a meal that wasn’t in the great to excellent category.

Excellent bartender, service and food. We live in New York. When we come to Monroe to visit family this is our go to restaurant. We love it!

The food at Osteria Romana is very good, especially the beet salad. I had the risotto that was the evening's special, and friends had some of the chicken dishes, all of which were good.

The food was delicious and my drink was made just right. The only issue was the server had no personality. Strictly business.

It was restaurant week in Monroe CT, had a fixed price menu which was fantastic with the selections. Had glass of wine, calamari with balsamic reduction and 8oz pounded steak with sides, finished everything off with tiramisu desert. Overall this was one of my best meals dining out in a long time.

Food was great but the women’s restroom was disgusting. We sat near the restroom and were witnessing many reactions the same way. Women kept using the men’s room instead.
