However, the glasses of Chardonay we had were excellent. We had the mussels, the Mayfair salad, and the Linguine Vongole (linguini and clams). The mussels in a creams sauce were excellent as there was only one unopened mussel. The three pieces of toast for dipping in the sauce was a good way to enjoy the sauce once the mussels were gone. The night we were there it was somewhat noisier than past visits due to several large tables of men some of whom spoke and laughed loudly throughout the evening. When they left it was pleasant.
