Welcome to your friend neighborhood bar and sandwich shop. Tucked away on Lafayette Park, just a block from the downtown and seaport neighborhoods of Salem, MA, The Babe is the perfect place to rendezvous after work for a cocktail, grab a bite with friends, or get together for a late night celebration. We take pride in our scratch kitchen with a menu inspired by Northeast sandwich culture and cuisine; touching on fan favorites from Philly to NY, and of course, Boston! Our menu includes specialties like house-ground cheese burgers, loaded Italian subs with freshly sliced salumi, crispy and cheesy mozzarella pockets, crispy wings, and more.     Veal saltimbocca was amazing. Tiramisu was also good. Bartenders were attentive and accommodating when I wanted gnocchi instead of linguine. Portion was worth the reasonable cost of meal. Will be back again.

    Went for a valentines 3 course fixed price offering and every thing exceeded expectations. Excellent flavor in every dish served. Wine and food very good value. Sat in back and felt it was better choice than towards front door. Highly recommend

    Café Paradiso never disappoints! The freshness and quality and variety of food offerings is outstanding. Kudos to one of the best bartenders ever, Kim, thank you for some really wonderful drinks consistently! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The staff makes you feel like part of the family. It’s one of our favorite places.

    This is our regular place. Food it’s outstanding, lots of local flavors. If you are into local seafood, this is the place to eat. Service is outstanding, friendly attentive staff without being our face. Wonderful restaurant.

    Had a lovely lunch with a friend in a delightful relaxed club like cozy setting. The menu was large and varied enough that we were able to dine on what we truly desired. The wait staff was very accommodating and allowed us all the time we required to decide and chat. I Highly recommend this warm library atmosphere for a casual dining encounter or a business lunch
