Mauro, the chef, and his wife Tina, have an huge amount of experience behind them.Mauro is from Naples, Tina was born in a little sicilian town near by Enna.He began to learn everything about the southern cuisine by his experience in Naples since he was a child, from “Polipetti alla Luciana” to “Paccheri ai frutti di mare”.     Had a great meal. We had a reservation - definitely make one. I had the grouper- delicious My husband had the halibut(a special) and he loved it. It was quite busy but drinks came out quickly and the rest of the service was top notch. All in all a great dinner. Try it!!

    Our go-to place for special occasions (last night Valentines) so we’re very fond of this quaint restaurant in downtown Sarasota except last night it was so busy that some items seemed to have slipped through the cracks. The food is always great however last night wasn’t as great. The service was excellent for us but we noticed other tables were not as fortunate. The prices seemed to have been adjusted for the Valentine’s menu (adjusted meaning RAISED), for we each had a meal, (Grouper / Pork Oso-busco) nothing fancy) a glass of wine and shared a dessert with one complimentary basket of bread (NOT even a house salad) and the bill was $175! A bit pricey if you’d ask me.

    Dinner was fantastic our waitress Marren did a fantastic job and was very attentive. The wine service was wonderful and great choices. He started with a gnocchi special. That was wonderful. We split that with three people as an appetizer. My wife and I had the linguine Pescatore, which was fantastic. Great pasta, and loaded with seafood. Her friend had the eggplant which was wonderful. Both dishes were so filled that we took leftovers home and there was no room for dessert unfortunately. Their dessert menu is delightful and next time I will have to make room.
