We opened on Valentine’s Day in 1953 in downtown Clinton, NY, and we’ve been sharing our love of good food and drink as a community gathering place ever since. John and Laura Alteri opened the doors and managed the restaurant until John’s death in 1960. We rebuilt after a fire in 1963, and the tradition was carried on by John’s son and daughter-in-law, Fernando “Feet” and Beverly, until 1998. Today, third-generation owner Fran Alteri manages his family’s warm, home-styled restaurant and seasoned bar, bringing people together with classic food, beer, wine and spirits. Share a table with your friends or family for casual dining and try our famous pizza, pasta, sandwiches, soup and more, or just find a stool at the bar and we can chat over one of our many craft beers.

A TASTE OF TRADITIONThe original Carmella's Cafe, located in New Hartford, New York, opened in 1985. Our goal was to provide our guests with the warmth, charm and quality of a local "Mom & Pop" restaurant with the consistency and controls of a well managed chain. Homemade soups, sauces, pasta, bread served by warm friendly, caring servers was the essence of our business. Our people have to demonstrate an "I care about you" attitude in order to work at Carmella's. We never intended it to be a fancy place... just a place where people of all ages could find good food value and fun in a casual, friendly surrounding! We are now re-dedicating our efforts to those original ideas and are committed to providing our guests with a great experience based on fresh, well prepared food served by people who really care. Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse affords Utica diners that want a real challenge the opportunity to give a 24-ounce certified Angus Delmonico steak an attempt. The 16-ounce center cut New York sirloin is nothing to sneeze at either. Not just large, the steaks are full of flavor with perfect seasoning and seared to perfection. The menu at Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse doesn’t end there, however. Chicken is also well represented at Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse with dishes such as chicken Sinatra, chicken prosciutto, chicken marsala and chicken riggies. Iconic is an American restaurant located inside the DoubleTree Hotel Utica at 102 Lafayette St in Utica, NY.The restaurant and bar were completely renovated in 2017. The inspiring 1912 architecture was retained, but the ambiance is urban contemporary. The bar serves high quality artisan cocktails and a variety of wines and beers.Our innovative menu contains local favorites and dishes that strive to become the new local favorites! Our culinary team varies the menu to reflect the seasons and current dining trends. We are open for dinner nightly from 4 - 9 pm daily (extended bar hours) and for brunch on Sundays from 8 - 11:30 am. Sunday brunch and dinner shifts are walk in only. We hope that you enjoy your time in our establishment!
