Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great burger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s kind of a bistro, kind of a diner, internationally inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto.Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees.     Daphne is a restaurant truly worthy of 5 stars! I hosted my friends here for a galentines day brunch and we were truly impressed. The food was PHENOMENAL with each dish plated beautifully and rich with flavour. The staff was courteous, attentive, and friendly. Our server Armand aimed to please and succeeded in taking such great care of our table! The restaurant is SO LOVELY! The luxurious interior design adds to the experience. The manager Amanda also checks in on the tables and is so helpful with any special requests. I would highly recommend Daphne to anyone who loves delicious food, A+ service, and great vibes.

    I experienced the lunch omakase. The highlights were the three different cuts of blue fin tuna and the beautifully scored ika - all fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. I felt welcomed by everyone. I highly recommend this gem in downtown.

    There was a snow storm ongoing during the visit. Arrived earlier than the reservation, and it wasn’t crowded. Staff allowed seating at a large booth (although it was just two of us) as there were many free tables. Had appetizers and drinks. Comfortable and enjoyable experience. Friendly staff.

    The food was exceptional as well as the presentation. Our waitress was lovely and they made our anniversary special with an anniversary card and dessert plates that had Happy Anniversary on them. A very nice touch.

    Three of us went for winterlicious, we got to pick 4 different courses. Guacamole n chips, ribs, 2 tacos and churros is what I got. The ribs were delicious, fish tacos had a lot of cabbage and not enough fish but it was still tasty. The server was great. Overall a good experience.
