Don Cheech is an Italian American Restaurant created by Executive Chef Massimo Felici. He got inspired by his old neighborhood, the old school NYC Little Italy (Mulberry Street) Cuisine where exceptionally well-prepared food was served in an elegant comfortable setting. The Food resembles that same history, Chef Massimo Felici takes his culinary expertise and apply it to this new venture taking cues from the great talents and techniques of the present and the future. Traditional dishes like Stuffed Long Hots, Seafood salad, Linguine Vongola, Chicken Parmigiana and Scarpariello and Steak Diane, elevated to a new level. Elegant Tablecloth settings, burgundy booths, Chandeliers and mirrors a large bar and a glass wine room gives Don Cheech that Old School-Elegant atmosphere.

We present organic vegetarian and vegan fare rooted in the Ayurvedic tradition that meets us where we are today. Cuisines served range from Italian, Indian, Mediterranean and Asian, using Ayurvedic culinary principles to combine the right ingredients to support balance and enjoyment, through familiar yet unexpected dishes. Some of our most popular dishes include our Lasagna (both a vegetarian and vegan option), Vegetable Curry in Cashew Sauce, Carrot Risotto, Beet Hummus, Soothing Mung Soup, Avocado Toast (on homemade gluten free toast), and more.     Always a good experience at Vinum, even though they are now closing, vinum will be missed, it was always one of our family favorites. Food always good. Good luck with other restaurant Don Cheech. The area of Vinum has changed, since there are no consequences with arrests in area. Drugs all over those streets. Drug dealer harboring drug addicts in his establishment. It hurts the area. Will miss Vinum.

    We came to Don Cheech for the first time as new Staten Islanders who tend to gravitate towards Brooklyn celebrating a very momentous occasion in our life (being cancer free!), and everything from the food to the service did not disappoint. Stephanie is an actual gem - I called prior to our reservation to ask for a dessert request with writing, and she was so gracious and heartfelt over why we were celebrating over dinner. She connected with us the whole time, checked up on how we were doing constantly, all while chef Massimo prepared for us the most amazing meal. The ambiance was fantastic - a quiet Thursday night with a great week day special if you’re looking for that - it was the best all around. We can’t wait to be regulars here!!!
