Just came here today with my boyfriend for his birthday lunch. I have been here before once previously, however it was his first time there. We were greeted by Melissa at the front when we arrived. She was super sweet, wished my boyfriend a happy birthday on the spot and took us to our seats. We ordered the fresh burrata and arugula salad to start along with a matcha latte and mimosa. We got the roadside lobster roll and roasted chicken with a side of charred broccolini. Honestly, the food was amazing. I remembered the roasted chicken being good the first time I was here and had to come back for it and even after many years of not going, it is still just as good as I remembered it to be. It is moist and tender. The food was spectacular and reasonably priced. They came out with a cookie and candle for my boyfriend’s birthday as well, which I did not expect. We also got a butterscotch brûlée, which was a little on the sweeter side, but it was light and airy, making it a perfect way to end a delicious meal. The service was excellent and the staff were very efficient. Our server Kim offered great service and was very attentive. She refilled our waters and was super friendly. Melissa was super nice and sweet, also very accommodating and made the birthday experience for my boyfriend incredible. An inventive, scrumptious, collection of perfectly balanced flavours, textures, aromas, and colours. Masterful dishes served in a gorgeous, cozy dining room by welcoming, unpretentious staff. Costly, but completely reasonable for the care and effort provided. Possibly the best dining experience I've had, anywhere.

Loved the menu, the ambiance, and the service at Bar Avelo. Had the cheese board, flat bread, spiced cake from the Bar menu and all of it was delicious. I loved that even their drinks menu was entirely vegan. Can't wait to come back to try the 5 course menu at the Restaurant downstairs.

Everyone (even the carnivore in the group) loved the meal. And ensured the celiac member was fully protected. Bang bang broccoli is a must. Love the lettuce wraps. Loved the cheesecake dessert. And perhaps my favourite thing was the mezcal cocktail with green garnish (name forgotten)- not sweet, great flavour. Excellent service
