The Federal, located just a short block from the famed Rehoboth Beach boardwalk has become a full-service, beach casual, fine-dining bistro. The demure restaurant now hosts the two concepts in one space - you can enjoy fritters before dinner, for a happy hour snack, or go for a boardwalk stroll. Federal Fritter menu features a variety of crisp, poppable & snackable fritters, while The Federal menu expands on a way of eating that best defines Todd & Ellen's culinary style, the menu reads like a postcard from the Mid-Atlantic. This was our first visit to Driaft and it definitely lived up to all the recommendations! Everything was outstanding, drinks, food, service, the works. Highly recommend the lobster French toast, delish! Look forward to our next diner at Drift.

Fabulous restaurant! We love it and visit as often as possible, many times bringing friends and family along. We were there on Tuesday evening where tapas are offered from a special menu. It is a great way to try small tastings of their menu, and for me there isn’t a disappointing item on it! The new owners are delightful, they redid the interior and it is gorgeous, spacious and very comfortable. Our waiter Jessie was amazing, he took the time to explain dishes and drinks. He was friendly and professional. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this spot, a top recommendation from me. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! Just go!

Salmon with asparagus and risotto with peas was very good, as was the shrimp and crab salad tower with avocado and mango. Service was good. Location and view was fabulous. We would not, however, order the non-alcoholic Chardonnay and non-alcoholic Sangria again due to lack of satisfactory taste.

We had the prix fixe 4 course dinner and each course was excellent. We are not drinkers and were happy that the price for wine in the "Wine and Dine" event was not a part of the dinner price. Service was attentive and food served quickly. Small restaurant, good for special dinner.
